The fixture alternates between the two countries every year: after France vs Scotland at the Stade de France in 2027, the match returns to Scotland in 2028. The official schedule has not been published yet (the 2027 fixtures were announced in March 2026), and official tickets will be sold by Scottish Rugby. How to get to Murrayfield Stadium?
To reach Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, several convenient transport options are available:
1. Tram:
Edinburgh’s tram network serves the stadium directly, with a stop located close to the Roseburn Street turnstiles. Trams run frequently from key locations including Edinburgh Airport, Ingliston Park & Ride, Edinburgh Gateway, Edinburgh Park Station, Haymarket Station, and St Andrew Square near Waverley Station.
2. Bus:
Several bus routes operate near the stadium:
- Routes 1, 2, 22 and 30: Serve Westfield Road.
- Routes 3, 25, 33 and 38: Operate along Gorgie Road.
- Routes 12, 26 and 31: Run via Corstorphine Road.
- Airlink 100: Connects Edinburgh Airport to the city centre, with a stop close to the stadium.
3. Train:
The nearest railway station is Haymarket, located approximately 1.6 km from the stadium. From there, you can either walk to Murrayfield Stadium or continue your journey by tram or bus.
4. Car:
Parking around the stadium is limited, especially on event days. Using one of Edinburgh’s park-and-ride facilities, such as Ingliston Park & Ride, and continuing by tram is often the easiest and most efficient option.
How to choose your seat for Scotland vs France?
The official Scottish rugby union stadium has a capacity of 6,7144 and the stands are distributed as follows:
- Standard: located behind the goalposts, these are the most affordable seats available.
- Lateral: Seats located in the lateral stand but on the sides. Seats are a little more expensive than standard.
- Central side: The best located seats with a high price but a perfect position in the stadium with an unobstructed view of the stadium.
